The libraries at Waubonsee Community College have resources for more than just classwork and research. Whether you are a student looking for information on mental health, or a community member seeking information on voting, we are here to help! A variety of those resources are listed below.
You can visit us in-person at the Aurora Downtown, Aurora Fox Valley, or the Sugar Grove campuses. Visit the libraries online at https://www.waubonsee.edu/student-experience/library.
Check to see if your textbooks are available for in-library use with the search function above. The Course Reserves collection is built by instructor recommendations, departmental donations, and student feedback. Be sure to let us know if you think adding a copy of your textbook would be beneficial for you and for future students!
The Assistive Technology Guide helps students, staff, and community members navigate assistive technology in the libraries, software available to students, and free or low cost tools that can assist with note-taking, speech-to-text, study skills, organization, and more!
The Career Research Guide provides resources on exploring career possibilities, preparing for your chosen career path, information on specific careers, career resources available at Waubonsee, and more! Be sure to utilize some of these resources, especially if you are just starting your career search.
The Citizenship Resource Guide has information to help understand requirements of becoming a US citizen, as well as tools to help prepare for the US citizenship test. Resources are available both in English, and Spanish. Los recursos están disponibles tanto en inglés como en español.
The Neurodiversity Guide provides resources from TED Talk videos to recommended books that all relate to neurodivergent specific topics. Sources for teachers and instructors are available, as well as resources in Spanish. For additional information and assistance, remember to check out the "Websites" tab for sources outside of Waubonsee.
Waubonsee understands that not all students are attending in-person courses. This is why the Online Library Resources and Services Guide is here. Anyone who needs off-campus library access can utilize this guide to help better understand everything available to all Waubonsee students, faculty, staff, and community members.
The Voting and Elections Guide contains Information on voter registration and identification requirements, voting rights, polling places, and more! If you are just turning 18, or have never registered to vote before, be sure to take a look at resources listed in this guide. Election information, as well as links to county elections are also provided.
