Welcome

In 2019 the Hispanic population of the United States was 60.6 million, making people of Hispanic origin the nation’s largest ethnic minority. National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the rich culture and the contributions of Americans who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America and Spanish-speaking nations of the Caribbean. For more information on the history and evolution of this event, visit About National Hispanic Heritage Month. For more facts and figures visit the US Census Bureau - National Hispanic Heritage Month.

from Cell Mentor
In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we're showcasing 100 of the most inspiring Hispanic/Latinx scientists working in the United States. This list—selected based on scholarly achievements, mentoring excellence, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion—represents only a subset of the scientific role models in the community.
