This global science gateway, comprised of national and international scientific databases and portals, provides one-stop searching of databases from around the world.
Models 360 had its origin in A Visual Database, a collection of about 80 inorganic molecules prepared by Charles E. Ophardt of Elmhurst College. A Visual Database allowed users to view different aspects of molecules and compare two molecules side by side (http://www.jce.divched.org/JCESoft/jcesoftSubscriber/InorgMolecules/). Basic rotatable ball-and-stick models were displayed as well as advanced depictions of molecular orbitals and electrostatic potentials.
