Computers in the Library: Overview

What you need to know when using computers in the Library.

Computer Use/Login Information

  • The libraries at Waubonsee all have campus network computers for your use.  All computers must be logged on to with your X-Number and password.
  • Username:  X-number (with the X)
  • Password:  Initially set as your birthday in MMDDYY format
  • If your username or password are not working, contact TAC at (630) 466-7900, ext. 4357.
  • If you do not have an X-number, there are several computers at Todd Library and the Aurora Downtown campus library available for library database searching.
  • All networked computers have access to Microsoft Office, including Word, Access, Power Point, Publisher and Excel



  • Find all your important Waubonsee information here, including email, course schedule, grades, student calendar and student resources.
  • Complete all online tasks her, including registering for courses, accepting financial aid, chatting with Counselors or petitioning to graduate.

Problems accessing library resources/databases

for example:   Cannot access a specific database

                     Full-text is not available

                     Database is asking for login information

                     Getting a message that database is down

  • Be sure to check your mymail account regularly to receive all official college communications, including financial aid and payment information, messages from your instructors and much more.
