questions

FAQs

How long can I have this out for?

The loan period for an ILL book is determined by the lending library. Typically this can be anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks.  The due date for any ILL item will be clearly marked on a label on the front cover. You can request to renew items in your Interlibrary Loan Account

How long does this take?

ILL requests for physical, returnable items (print books, DVDs, etc.) can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks to arrive.  Journal articles/book chapters typically take between 2-3 business days, depending on the nature of the request.

Is there anything that I can't  ILL?

Anything that WCC Libraries already owns; this includes items checked out, on Reserve, or in our Reference Collection.

Items that do not circulate at lending libraries, such as streaming media and archival materials and often eBooks, cannot be checked out through ILL. If you have any questions about what you can or cannot ILL, please contact us!
